Our youngest and tiniest โ a little Zebu bull, son of Ganga. Goloka is home to gentle Gir and Zebu cows and bulls; some were rescued, and many were born right here.

In Sanatana Dharma, the cow is revered as Gaumata โ the mother who asks for nothing and gives everything. Tradition teaches that all the devatas are honored within her, that she embodies dharma itself, and that she is a living form of the nourishing Earth. To protect and serve a cow is one of the most sacred acts a person can offer.
At Goloka Farm, we protect sacred life & promote conscious living โ honoring all beings with love and respect.
The Puranas describe Surabhi, the divine wish-fulfilling cow, as the mother of all cattle. From her flow endless nourishment and blessings โ which is why every cow is honored as her sacred descendant.
The Supreme Lord Himself appeared as a cowherd boy in Vrindavan, tending cows with love. His very names โ Govinda, Gopala โ mean "friend and protector of cows." Where cows are loved, Krishna is near.
Our name comes from Goloka โ Krishna's own spiritual realm, the "planet of cows," where surabhi cows are lovingly cared for eternally. We try to bring a small reflection of Goloka here to Redmond.
India's native humped cows (Bos indicus) have been revered as Gaumata for thousands of years. At Goloka we care for two of these sacred indigenous lineages โ the Gir and the Zebu โ gentle, hardy breeds who each deserve a lifetime of love.
The cows and bulls of Goloka Farm in Redmond are family, not livestock. Some were rescued from neglect and slaughter; many were born right here. Every one of them receives go-seva โ loving, lifelong care until their very last day, exactly as Vedic tradition asks.
We also run a separate Ahimsa Dairy, guided by the same principle of non-violence. Our Guernsey cows (a naturally A2 breed) are pasture-raised and free-roaming, milked gently, with love and never harm. Ask us about our Ahimsa A2 Organic milk, paneer & ghee.
ลrฤซla Prabhupฤda taught that milk is sacred โ but only when the cow who gives it is protected for life. Industrial dairy breaks that promise; a growing movement across ISKCON is restoring it, and it's exactly why Goloka Farm runs its own Ahimsa Dairy.
Cows are killed after just 5 years โ rather than their natural lifespan of 20+ โ and the price of milk is subsidized by the beef industry that follows.

Cow protection โ go-rakแนฃya โ is named alongside agriculture and trade as one of the essential duties that sustain a healthy society.
A beloved prayer honors Krishna as the well-wisher of the cows and the brฤhmaแนas โ and of the entire world.
"We have to maintain the cows throughout their life. We must not make any program for selling them to the slaughterhouses. That is the way of cow protection."
The cow is called a representative of Mother Earth herself โ when she is mistreated, the land is said to withhold its bounty.
